Danielle Thomas, EMT-P
Ms. Thomas is the Director of Pro EMS Center for MEDICS and has been a paramedic since 2009. As the Director of Center for MEDICS, Danielle oversees two paramedic programs per year and coordinates training that serves more than 7,000 health care professionals per year. She has participated in two medical relief trips to the Dominican Republic, and in January 2013, Danielle made her first trip to Haiti to gain first-hand experience and insight into the current situation in that country. She helped coordinate the logistics of The METI Project and now serves as the program’s Director.
Danielle is a member of the Academic Advisory Committee for Pro EMS Center for MEDICS Paramedic Program, serves as the American Heart Association Community Training Center Coordinator and Faculty, and was appointed Affiliate Faculty for the NAEMT course, Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) for the state of Massachusetts. In 2011, Danielle lead the effort to bring PHTLS to the country of Singapore, where this training had never been offered; now the course is a regular part of their EMS system education. Danielle is credentialed as an instructor and coordinator of over ten internationally recognized certification courses, and sees training as an opportunity to empower other health care providers to improve patient outcomes.
