Cambridge native Oliver Brown began working at Pro EMS in the summer of 2011 and is currently enrolled in the paramedic program at Pro EMS Center for MEDICS. He attended grade school in Cambridge and completed his intermediate education at Northfield Mount Hermon School. Oliver attended University of Colorado at Boulder before returning to the Boston area to begin medic school and continue his career in EMS.
As a sophomore in high school, Oliver spent a semester in Montevideo, Uruguay., studying Spanish. Although he has never been on a medical trip outside of the U.S., he expects that the impact one can achieve in such a mission can be quite rewarding. Oliver is particularly interested in seeing the long term impacts of the 2010 earthquake and how it has affected Haiti’s healthcare system.
